Dual batteries?

Looked at it again last night. The way I'm planning to do this is mount the new battery on a tray between the rad and the passenger fender (like Good Times did) in front of the V6 airbox/snorkel (this will still fit in the stock location.) I will relocate the power steering reservior behind the snorkel but not as far as the firewall (using longer hoses routed under the snorkel.) I will also locate my battery isolator there.

Good Times,
Thanks for the info. The larger hose looks like a standard 5/8 ID. The smaller looks like a 7/16 ID (by measuring the reservior fitting) but I'm not sure how common this is. I'll deal with an industrial hose supply company to make sure I get the right size and type.

Theres also an Air conditioning line that is mounted just next to the power steering reservoir, does that need to be moved as well or do you think the battery would fit with it in the stock location?

Finally...

Got a chance to take some pics of this mod that I finished before (sorry, no detailed pics of the mod in progress.)
This first one is a "big pic" of the engine bay showing where I installed the Optima D31T.

Next pic is a closer view. I mounted the battery "backwards" so that the positive post was inboard away from sheet metal. The only clearance issue I have is the negative post just fits against the hood liner because of the height of the battery and the tray I used. Ran 2 negative cables: one to the chassis (#4 gauge); another to the rear passenger corner of the engine block (#1 gauge.) Also using a 175A fuse at the positive battery terminal (covered in pic.)

This pic shows the relocated P/Steering reservoir and the Hellroaring BIC95300A isolator (located on a custom fab plate mounted to an angle bar.) Utilized bolts and holes already existing on fender.

Last pic is of the original battery where I hooked up the new #1 gauge wire running to the BIC isolator (ran this wire around the front of the rad under the plastic trim.) Had to replace the bolt in the positive terminal clamp with a longer one in order to be able to fit the extra cable terminal.
