Dumb question about reminder chimes

Hey all,

I've just purchased my first 4runner, a 2006 SR5. This is also my first Toyota.

My 4Runner doesn't beep or chime if I don't put my seatbelt on. The reminder light comes on the dash, but no chime.

I also don't have a beep/chime if I leave my headlights on.

Can someone tell me if there should be a chime, or do neither of these exist on an 06?

I just wanted to make sure that nothing is wrong (cut wire, blown fuse, etc).

My '05 also doesn't chime for the seatbelt and the lights turn off after 30 seconds (?) once the key is either off or removed, I recall know which.

It is not supposed to chime. If you leave the lights on, they will turn off automatically. The seat belt chime was introduced on the 4Runner in 2010.

Thank you. I found so many posts on here about folks wishing to turn their chimes off, it got me wondering.
