I've been trying to figure out which 265/70/17's to put on my 2008 Sport. I've got no lift, no spacers and I heard some 265/70/17's will fit fine, no rubbing, but others will rub without a lift.

Wonder if these could be a good choice/ Someone said that some BFG's will rub, others will not.

Love to know for sure before buying the damn tires.

i dont think they will, long as u have a good alignment, stock wheels & no wheel spacers, but if they do, just move the inner plastic liner forward a bit,its very easy, reversable & takes 15 min.

Sorry kestrel, I just noticed your question. I'm actually from the LA area, but have driven through a few times on the way (via Mexican Route 15 that goes through the Sonora desert) to the Mexican Riveria area starting at Mazatlan. Oddly enough I originally heard of Rio Rico through an Arizona web site that charts the cheapest places to buy gas. You have one station (forgot the name) right off an interstate exit that consistently has some of the cheapest gas in all of Arizona.

I have to admit I'm not a fan of the new t4R look for the SR5 and Limited, but the Trail model is dynamite. Unfortunately when I was looking to buy all they had out was the Limited and SR5, neither of which is a good platform for offroading. I picked up a left over 2009 Sport, but had the Trail been available I'd probably be driving a silver one like yours instead.
