Easy night vision headlight upgrade? '88 T4R

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a headlight solution that will be pretty easy to install in my V6 '88 5 speed. It gets dark in Yukon territory really early and for a long time in the winter, and would like to be able to see again. Maybe the easiest solution will be a light bar, but I'd rather go for a headlight solution if there is one.

For 30 bucks - you can't beat a pair of ditch lights mounted on the bumper slightly angled to the side.

for an 88 i would consider a set of Truck Lite LED's but not sure if they would get warm enough to melt the snow off the lenses that you guys would see up there. When i was stationed in alaska I had my 84 up there.
a set of Hella H4 housings with a set of 90/130w bulbs in them did the trick with a set of KC Daylighters (early 90's)

Unfortunately with the poor wiring of the headlight system, subjecting the light dimmer/stalk/switch to high current, using high-wattage bulbs is not advisable, UNLESS H4 conversion harness is used.
