Easy Weekend Mods

Oh and check your cabin air filter too.

Sorry for replying to an old post,
but I've had my 4R for a little over a month,
and the air coming from the heater vents is very stale.
Can someone please show me where to find the cabin air filter?

im not really feelin the plasti dip on the emblems... i prefer chrome.. (the old school in me i guess) and on the whheels, i prefer the contrast of the black tire on alloy or chrome etc..but it does look good as well

Funny how we change, I now have all blacked out emblems and grills and wheels.:playball:

Pull out your glove box. its behind there.

Lol. True dat! I hate chrome!

Well I still love chrome on my classics and lowriders , but its nice to have a different look in the garage. I still need to black out my headlights and eventually get a custom bumper.

I'm all about the gunmetal greys. Better than black IMHO.

Its work keeping ahead of these trends.....I will stay stock, cause eventually whats old is new again..and since the OEMs are currently using all the cues developed by folks ahead of the curve (black eveywhere, flat paint, and those grills!) its not far off

Just a thought

Hey,

Just a thought and i apologize if there is a thread already and I just haven't done enough digging but has anyone done a thread on installing those rear window buttons on the newer 4runners onto a 4th gen specifically a 2004?

An example is attached

Spent some time today and added aome USB ports in my center console. One hooks up to the stereo, the other is just for charging.

Got this 4runner base model like a month ago.
Here this model comes without fog lights, so I ordered them from the US.
Looking inside the truck I realized that the wiring was already there, so using the wiring diagram I was able to install the fog lights almost like Toyota. The only difference is that I have a button to turn them on, but even the light on the dashboard works.

Are there any links for the same procedure on a 4th gen. 4R Sport 4.0 V6? This is next on my car's bucket list. Also, might a dash-light/code occur as a result of doing this?

what are you talking about? it helps to quote a post when there are 38 pages

Beg your pardon Kevinpt, thought I clicked on the right reply button connected to the appropriate thread. I have a 4th gen/2004 4R and am interested in removing the charcoal filter. The article/thread I found was for the V8 and the airbox in that article looked nothing like mine.
