eBay brush guards. Yay or nay

Looking for a brush guard for my 04. Does anyone have any experience with the eBay brush guards? I think they are like $250 or so. Obviously I would prefer an Aries or something like that but not going to pay 500 bucks for a brush guard.

I have had experience with both. My Range Rover had a factory deer catcher with a teflon-like powder coating. I hit two deer and a tree with very little damage to the guard. My 3rd gen Runner came with an ebay stainless guard, hit a deer, and it did just fine but someone backed into me and it bent it out of shape at the base. Also...the ebay guard was rusting pretty bad at the bolts when I ripped it off, it couldn't have been more than 3-4 years old. My powder coated Range guard held up much better... it was probably the only thing on that rig that didn't break come to think of it.

Bottom Line- Any guard is better than no guard. I need to get one with all of the fender-benders I see on my commute. It's also great for when someone boxes you in...that alone is worth the price of admission
