lol, they even copied their response straight from Total Chaos's web site:

Yup. besides the sticker and gold bolt, I wouldn't be able to tell them apart. The ones in this pic also have the vertical gussets that TCs have, which are missing in the ebay pic.

Tell your brother to wipe that crap off the top of his uniballs. Use triflow, CLP, or some other dry film lubricant that doesn't attract/trap dirt.

In the (likely) case those Chinese arms use the old, non-stainless uniball, you can replace it with the new stainless version for about $45 each. Search for wssx16t.

I wonder what grade of stainless they use. I recently replaced mine, as the teflon liner was worn out, but no pitting on the uniball itself. The uniball and race are both plenty magnetic.

Anyone have some current info on the new silver uniball uca's from the seller on ebay. The guy has a credible store and good feedback. I read the thread from 2012 on here about the guys brother that tried them. Any recent info on the durability would be great thanx.

Here on t4r a member (subspd) talked about his brother a nonmember who purchased a set of uniball uca's from a seller on ebay. The seller on ebay is freedom suspension. I was referring to freedom suspensions reputation on ebay as a reliable seller. The name of the uniball uca's he has for sale are called new silver. Subspd said his brother is running them with no issues but that thread is dated for 2012.

I mean I'm no pro but if it looks like shit, is cheap as shit, it's probably shit.

Plus it doesn't have a zerk fitting on the bearing where you would want one.

Some thing's you can skimp on but never on parts. Especially parts that can kill you if they fail.

Thought I might chime in here. They do have zerk fittings not sure how ideal the placement is. My brother is not easy on his truck in any way. He runs tough trails and so far so good. That said, they have only been on the truck for one month. So I will give it some time before I order them for myself. He has the money to experiment, I don't.

as i noted in the other thread, i contacted the seller about the arms and was informed they were 4130 chromoly, the same material all the big boys use, total chaos, etc

That sounds.... To good to be true lol. But hey! Ive bought Ebay stuff that has been great! If I had a need to lift that high, I would give it a try. Worst case, they could be sold used on CL for most of the cost.

Whats the bushing quality look like? That will help tell if the kit is serious.

I'm in need of new UCA's myself and this is tempting. I just finished putting some grease in the stock ball joints to stop the squeaking until I can replace them. Just wish there was at least one more person who had them installed for a little more feedback.
