eBay uniball control arms?

There is a lot more travel than stock ball joint, hence more range of motion. However they don't add bounciness they just expose the fact your suspension is already bouncy. If it is too bouncy you may want to look into different shocks.

Gotcha. It's totally fine. I'm already getting used to it. I was just worried that something was wrong with the parts / installation.

I totally had the same experience, way more bouncy or responsive than the stock arms. I have resolved most of this by lowering my tire pressure to 30 from 35 psi and may try dropping it to 28 psi just to see how it feels. Based on the calculations for vehicle weight and my specific tires I should be running them at about 25 psi which will help most of the absorption. My other thought was possibly lowering the Billies 1 notch or go with a coil over, but for now I am use to it and have had no other issues thus far.

Also check the torque on the main bolt going through the bushings. I found by backing off a little it actually made the ride more compliant. If the bolt is too tight you basically get a stiff (could also be felt as a bouncy) ride.

Good to know. I'll give this a shot to see if it helps. I think I'm around 33 psi right now.

Do you happen to remember the ft/lbs you torqued to?

Have there been any reports of failures on these? Other threads are full of china-bashing and fear mongering, but no actual fialures because no one tried them. This is a pretty simple product, if they used reasonable steel and good welds it should be solid. I guess I'm looking for any definitive failure history that would question this. Granted, the guy on shift A may do a better job than the guy on shift B, so it obviously isn't representative of the whole population.

Motohead The only failure so far I believe has been one caused by improper installation.

Agreed. My brother has the longest known history of running these I know of on the forums and has not "upgraded" them. He has had no failures. He ran tellico with them and drives hard.

What's the deal with the black caps? One already popped off and went missing. Do I need to glue them down or something? I had the seller send me a new pair.

I'd rather not leave them cap-less because when the snow and dirt comes it all gets on the uniball fast.

Icon uses a double stick tape, you might be able to do the same.

I'm run mine without the caps. Just clean out the grease then hit it with a teflon lube and when you wash the truck just wipe it out and reapply. Been doing this for over a year and so far so good.

Put a set on the GX. Bushing sleeves were a bit too short, but I made it work. The dust caps were a joke, so I left them off. We are a little over 2100 miles in with these and I check them Often. So far, so good. Time will tell.

All installed and coil overs cranked up an additional 1/4 inch to get the truck closer to level.

I read the entire thread and, right at the very end, got super confused as to weather or not the blue and silver control arms are the same, because the Ebay store names are different.

In any case, I'm holding out until they get more silver ones in stock.

Chances are they are built in the same place but buyer 1 spec'ed silver/red, buyer 2 spec'ed blue/red.
