EBC Brakes Question

i just recently changed my ft brakes to the EBC Slotted only rotors and the green stuff 7000 series pads. ever since then i noticed the brake pedal travel is longer then it was with the OEM pads. the pedal travel changed before i changed the calipers. each caliper had a frozen piston so i changed them too and the pedal is better but still not as high and hard. they are bled properly and i even used the bleeder i got from phoenix systems and no change.

is this normal due to the softer compound of the pads?

anyone else who used these have this same problem?

I have the same setup (except my calipers were never frozen) and I think you may be right about the pad compound. It isn't that noticeable and doesn't bother me because I always thought the 4runner brakes were too touchy when I first got it.

I thought it was just due to not being bled properly.

bleed the brakes, then after that, with no key, pump the brakes 40+ times then add fluid, the fluid resevoir says u must pump atleast 40+ times with no key in, and it should tell u how much fluid is left and needs topping off. make sure ur cap is on while doing this.

like i said i got them from advance auto for 510.00 each with the online discount. i bought them online and picked them up in the store 1 hr later. they do not honor the discount in the store. i saved 24.99 on each caliper.
