My rack has been on a couple of days now, just need to get some pictures up after I mount my Plano dry storage case and MaxTrax up top.
Install went pretty good.
Best way is to bolt the outer frame of the rack together first, then put up top and mount to brackets, then add your crossbars.
And of course, do not fully tighten everything until all bolts are started and in place. I had to make adjustments to make it sit evenly all around.
This rack is pretty solid, and I don't find the PC is that bad.
Only issue I ran into was, on the passenger side outer rail, they missed a mounting hole up front that mounts the front plate. I just drilled the hole, no biggie.
Also, has anyone put those hard round sticker logos on their rack they provided? There is a spot on the rear of the side rails.

Good to hear your PC is acceptable. Would any of you guys suggest painting or lineX-ing the rack prior to install? Or is the PC good enough to not rust up?

I did find some spots where the powder coating chipped off. Also, they need to use an actual CNC or water jet machine. The cutouts for their branding are a rough

I would say it's fine. Buy some flat black paint and touch up your corners and places the PC flaked off and mount it up. I don't foresee any immediate need to recoat it.
We get a bit of rain in Oregon so I'll give an update this summer how well it's holding up.

Really curious as you guys run a few tanks of gas through how if at all the rack effects your MPG.
Don't jump all over me with "that's not what we bought a 4Runner for" my Gobi had a 2-3 MPG drop. And if your do "overland" that equates to about 60 miles per tank... 60 miles could be the diff between making that next town and walking.

Will give you a MPG report next week. First tank of fuel almost done. I expect a .5-.75 mpg hit. I can hear the wind noise so I know there is drag...but I'd be shocked if it was more with the profile.
