Are they sending out tracking numbers when they ship?

I was told yes. Approx. 2-weeks from today is when we could expect to see tracking #'s distribute.

Good morning guys, sorry for the late update but my 5 year old has been sick and had to have an emergency surgery for an infection yesterday. Eerything is back to normal now.

5th batch Update: The racks started shipping but custom was holding them again until proper documentation was submitted. Ecotechne has done this and will start moving again at the latest Tuesday.

6th batch update: Ecotechne will be finishing the racks today, Monday they will start packing them all for shipment and as soon as they finish will start shipping.

Finally got around to installing the rack and I'm digging it. Reading everyone's install and comments about the rack really helped and I totally agree with the major consensus. A very solid, awesome looking rack for a good price. Is there some rough cuts, dings, and scratches? Yes, but a little elbow grease and tuning , it will turn out just fine. I would have liked it even more if the "slots" on the side were true slots, but the back plate of those slots are held by small tac welds so I'm sure I can cut a slot there to give me an even better anchor point if I needed one.

Looks great! How long did it take to install, did you paint the bolts black or use different ones.

It only took about an hour with help from my roomie to get up top. I installed the mounts and waterproofed it the best i could, then loosely bolted the outer portions in my garage, set it on top, bolted to the mounts and went front to back and it all lined up perfectly.

I went to my local hardware store to find some black bolts since I didn't want to paint them but couldn't find any and I was too excited and couldnt wait any longer to install it so I went with the bolts it came with.

It took me awhile to pull the trigger as well but I'm happy with it. I've only had it on for a day and already received alot of compliments on it.

Ok guys,just got off of FaceTiming with Ecotechne. I was on for a couple of hours going over all the problems people where having, solutions and how they could make the rack more user friendly. As we were talking they were on CAD and what they have coming looks real promising. I hope this will fix all the issues and make everything even better.

I should have the ladder by the end of this month hopefully.

They will have the mounts(L brackets) cleaned up.

Confirmed that I used the same dimension flat bar as well. Attaching a pic of the other parts I used for mounting the bracket.

I went back and removed the whole rack this weekend to add the aluminium flat bar (3/4 x 1/16, 1/8 might be better) to all 4 brackets. I would recommend this be done to really give the mounting brackets the integrity they need. [MENTION=109477]Rorck[/MENTION], I don't know if that was discussed with Ecotechne, but adding the aluminium flat bar (or even in steel) would be a HUGE upgrade over the washers meant for the L brackets. Great stuff guys, keep it up! This is what a forum or group should be, helping to make things better for everyone. I still love the rack, and look forward to any improvements and accessories they put out.

Hey Guys! a bit bad news for all of you that did not get in the first batches... because DHL is raising shipping cost… Ecotechne will not be able to offer us the great prices they have been giving us. For 7th batch an on the price will now go up to $800 shipped until further notice.
