I love the look of the rack and the ladder too. Such a unique style, that I really really appreciate.
I would absolutely love to purchase this rack and/or ladder in the future, but I'm just too worried about it being in Venezuela right now. I know we should try and support them regarr what they're going through, but it's just too much of a risk to put that much money down for something that could never come to fruition.
I did, have a good experience so far with them. On their site they don't have the ladder and contacted them through IG for it. Got a Google drive Link minutes later with the pics, love that!
They're definitely on my radar for a future purchase and would love to sport their look.

I'm actually surprised my transaction was as smooth as it was. Communication could have been better, but I received my entire order perfectly. From payment to final receipt took less than a month.
I paid for metal tech sliders in the May group buy and I'm still waiting for them. :shrug:

Nice! I'm still working on "tuning" my rack in.
It looks like there were a lot of improvements with V2 besides the fairing/lightbar mount up front. The side rails and cross bars now have slotted holes for adjustable mounting options, which is nice. However, I wanted to make sure I wouldn't need to drill into the rack in the future, so I added holes of my own to the crossbars. The top faces have holes for 1/4" hardware, arranged in 3.5 inch squares. The bottom (where the slots are) have holes for 3/8" hardware every 3 inches. This way if I ever need to make any custom mounts, I already have something to attach it to.
Also I've been working on smoothing all of the rough edges and grinding down excess weld spatter, etc. Trying to make the pieces as nice as possible before sending them out for blasting and PC.

Smart, looking good. I’m still debating having mine blasted and re powder coated.

I had mine blasted and coated was about $400 and probably worth it in the long run. I didn't want to mount it and then have it start rusting over the winter.
I also just got the same light bar as you from the group buy. Hoping to get it installed tomorrow.

I believe they also have a rack for the 4th gen, might have to hunt this thread for pictures.
As far as powdercoat goes, it really depends on the prep work that these guys did before coating. If they properly sandblasted the pieces, I can't see why the powdercoat wouldn't be adequate.
However, if they coated them in the same condition that mine are in, you're going to see flaking very soon. My pieces still have scale all over from when the sheets were hot-rolled, and this stuff flakes off super easily.
I only saved $20 by forgoing powdercoat. Even factoring in their current economic crisis, that still seems like a real cheap PC job.

I'm not sure how lucky people have been in ordering one off of the website, your best bet is to contact Rorck (the OP) and find out what to do- either for group buy or solo buy.
After cleaning up and drilling the parts, I sent them out for powdercoat. These were sandblasted and then coated in a two-stage process: zinc epoxy base and then micro-texture black.
Will pick them up for final install hopefully this week. I ordered a few different methods for installing the mounting brackets, so I'll work on finding a combo that is sturdy and weatherproof. Don't want rain leaking into the headliner.
Will be finally getting my rack from the powder coater some time in the next few days. Had to get re-coated because of all the contraband nonsense. They put multiple probe holes and even disassembled my box. Damage was done to my tray and front faring. Powder coating was just whack to begin with. Thankfully Rorck was able to mediate between myself and ecotechne and I was able to get some compensation.(now just praying everything fits and sits correctly)
That being said, I would also like to buy the black hardware for this rack. Can anyone with a current version of the rack confirm that these will also fit? Previous posters mention that they have earlier versions, so they might be different.
Or has anyone had any luck just spray painting the provided hardware? Any tips?

I'll post some detailed info about my hardware choice later, but I'll try to answer here and show my work.
All of the holes and slots for assembly on this rack are a half-inch in width. That means, if everything is lined up perfectly, you should be able to use 1/2" (or 7/16") hardware to "fill" the space appropriately. However, the rack is not perfect. The overall tolerances are pretty sloppy, the holes are plasma-cut, and the edges and placement are jagged. That's why they supply 10mm and 3/8" hardware for assembly, to tolerate the inherent slop.
So, in short, your hardware selection should be just fine. By the way, I'm not sure why they include 10mm and 3/8 standard hardware, the two are close enough in diameter that it effectively makes no difference in this application (0.375" vs 0.394"). Also, I'm not sure why the included hardware is so long (like 1.5"). You will have full nylock/thread engagement with a 3/4" shank, including the washers and a little bit of extra thread poking out.
18-8 stainless is fine, decent corrosion resistance. For even more rust-prevention, 316 is ideal. Here is the hardware I chose. It has an integrated washer so I don't have to worry about separate pieces to paint/assemble/lose. McMaster PN 90909a534 I also chose a corresponding nylock nut with an integrated washer (18-8 though).
For matching the black rack, I actually sent the bolts above in at the same time for powdercoat (not the nuts, the nylon would melt in cure). The cost was included since I was doing the powdercoat anyway. But spray paint or black oxide is fine too, since stainless won't corrode and look ugly like steel hardware.
