Eibach needs a stock TRD PRO in SoCal

Thank you ! I was recently on Victory’s website but didn’t notice they made aluminum sliders. I will check them out.

Yeah, they're technically an aluminum/steel hybrid in that the mounts and high-lift jack points are made out of steel, but the overall slider section is made out of Al. My assumption is they should be a good bit stronger than the Greenlane sliders which I think are the only other Al game out there pretty much for 4Runners.

Considering similar sliders (they're technically not a boat side but am not sure what to call them) run around 120 pounds, they're a pretty neat option. Worst part of the deal is the cost by far ($1350).

I have a 3 year old who can use them as a step effectively which also made this style highly preferred to a tube slider.

Looking to add sliders & aluminum skids to our 2020 Pro. Anyone have these springs with these mods? [MENTION=186984]RusPro17[/MENTION] appears to have sliders.

Curious how the added weight impacts these springs. I have wanted to eliminate the rake and have the Westcott kit bookmarked but really want to avoid spacers.

I tried Eibach direct for the TRDP spring kit and ultimately, after placing the order with a guy at Eibach and waiting for 2 weeks in silence, I finally was told they are out of stock and new ones won’t go in to production for between 1-3 months. At the time of the order I was told they had 4 sets in stock. Apparently my order was actually sent to a distributor.

At one point I sent a message here to the Eibach guy who started this thread and never heard back. Ryan I believe.

I found a place online that had them in stock and bought through them. Currently on a UPS truck heading for FL.

Eibach sold out of them very quick. Unless a lot of vendors bought them up to sell higher price for a profit. When I got mine Tanner said they had a lot in stock.

I was hoping to somehow squeeze 285s in without doing anything (suspension work, or removing mud-flaps, cutting the body, etc.) on the 2020 TRD Pro. The easiest thing for me to do is swap out with the Eibach springs.

I am looking at suspension options. I have read a lot of threads and what Eibach offers seems to be a good potential solution. I will soon be getting a 2021 TRD Premium.

The dilemma I am facing is do I go to 33" tires? I have a nice lift and tire setup on my FJ but 33" killed my power. I have never regeared. I tow an offroad trailer and that makes matters even worse. Soooooo. I am thinking about sticking with stock tire size with just a bit of a lift. Seems like this coilover system might be a good fit. Another option might be Billstein. I am going to add a front bumper and rear bumper so I will want to account for the additional weight in back while towing.

Pretty sure the math is the same with tire size and gearing on the 4Runner as it is on the FJ. Maybe a 275 tire size would have less impact. For me it is less about the cost and more about not robbing the 4Runner of performance for when I tow.

Looking for opinions and ideas. I will also keep reading!

Unless you're purchasing a Pro, this lift will not work for you. The Eibach Pro Truck lift would be viable. If you are going full steel bumpers and towing a small trailer regularly, I think Dobinsons may be a better route to dial in a spring setup to fit your needs.
There is some really good information on this forum that discusses gear ratios and increased tire size. Good luck on your search!

Eibach also makes the adjustable rear spring system. Rear is the same between Pro and other trim levels, so it's another option if you don't want airbags.

I went adjustable rears for raising when towing. Went adjustable Eibach front as well. can change height if they ever settle or if you add armor

Finally got around to taking a pic (can’t seem to post it though) after installing my Eibach pro springs in the front with toytec 1/4” top hat spacers and SPC UCAs. In the rear I have Dobs c59-509s and a 15mm shim on driverside. Added 285 KO2s. I ended up with 2” lift all around. Love everything about it so far. Had it on a rocky beach in a Montauk NY two weeks ago and it felt great. Will get it on some trails soon.

I had Spidertraxx on but the overlanding shop that did my tires and alignment didn’t have time to do my BMC so they took them off when installing the tires. I thought I needed them to clear the SPC, but the shop said I’m fine. No rubbing and no trimming. I even put the mud flaps back on.

I'm glad I could help a few out, but others had to help me first. I've done a few suspensions in my day. I did one suspension to my '06 Rubicon. Traded it. Did 2 suspensions to my '10 FJ. Then did one suspension to my '11 Xterra. Later did 1 suspension to my '13 Sport Unlimited. Then did 1 suspension to my '13 Rubicon. Then later did 2 suspensions to my '16 2door Willy's. Then did 2 suspensions to my '18 Rubicon Recon. Hopefully the Eibach springs are the only things I need to do to my TRD Pro. I love this vehicle and hope to keep for a long time. Of all the suspensions I've done this is was the least expensive, best riding smoothest install of any of them.

First saw it on the Eibach website, that Toyota had released a TSB for clunking Fox shocks which is basically a replacement with the 2021 version. Issue for people here is that the Eibach front coils dont work with the '21 shock as it has a stepped coil base instead of the flat '19&20.
Now the crappy part for users here... you would have to remove the Eibach coils and go in stock to get replacement. Mine have clunked since new in the cold.. but was always told its normal.

The noise is noticeable in cold temperatures (less than 40˚F) and diminishes as temperatures increase. The TRD Pro shock absorbers have been improve noise performance. Follow the Repair Procedure in this bulletin to address the condition.

We're aware of this update and have already updated our information. We are looking into the TSB and their solution to the problem. We believe it's a direct swap out for the Tacoma PRO assembly, which we have a spring for. If the TSB is replacing the whole assembly for the open end / Tacoma assembly, the current 4Runner PRO Eibach spring WILL NOT work on the TSB replacement parts.

Confirmed with R&D that we're still looking for a 4Runner PRO in SoCal who has received the updated parts from the TSB and willing to leave the vehicle here for testing for two days. You will receive product and installation at no charge. Most Importantly, you get to be a hero to the community.

I don't think the biggest concern is if the warranty is approved, but rather the Eibach springs not working on the TSB replacement parts, and needing to save the Eibach's in an effort to recoupe some cash for the springs in the used market.

I would rather have the small amount of noise I sometimes hear, but only in my parking garage than give up the perfect stance the Eibach springs gave me.

My understanding of the physical difference in the coil is a stepped bottom (open end I think its called?) of the coil vs the flat bottom of the 19/20.

May even be able to throw on an upside down coil spring isolator for a quick fix if the Tacoma coils are the same design. (Step is facing the stepped mount on the shock and flat head faces upwards to the Eibach coil.)


My concern would be that you would have to go in on 100% stock suspension as there is a chance a dealer would notice the Eibachs and void the warranty for the shock. That and when replaced the Eibachs would no longer fit.
