Eibach Pro-truck lift

I am trying to decide between the using just the Eibach shocks with the OEM springs and the Eibach pro truck lift kit.

The kit provides 2.75" / 1" lift.

In committing sin , I was reading on another 4Runner site that some people were saying that this would cause reverse rake. I find it hard to believe that Eibach would have designed it that way, but i want to confirm some things.

I will not be adding bumpers or winches, but I would like to 'level' (a little factory rake is ok), the vehicle, slightly stiffen the ride, and change the tires to 265/17R17 all terrains (this should be easy) or 275/70R17 all terrains.

Can anyone who is running the Eibach Kit, or installed / seen it, or Ryan, confirm that there is no reverse rake on a SR5.

The only time you will have reverse rake with this lift is if you have a lot of weight in the back. I had mine full of camping gear this summer (roughly 300 lbs) and the reverse rake was pretty minor.

I was having the same concerns you were before buying this kit but you will be happy with the the stance/level look.

Installed the Eibach lift kit, new rims, and BFG KO2s in 285 70R 17. I’m happy with the results, and the ride quality has been drastically improved.

No rubbing at all. I was REALLY surprised about that as I fully expected to have at least some. Also, I labored over the tire size. I almost got 275s. Almost. Then I just went for it and threw on the 285s. It looks really good in person, and I feel that I made the right decision.

On the first clip there is no way you will have reverse rake.

When I installed the kit on my 04 v8 4x4 4runner I used a swaybar drop to correct the how close to the suspension it was after the lift. Is this needed on the 5th gens? I had the swaybar drop kit laying around when I did my 4th gen but will not have one on hand when I do my 19 4runner unless it is needed and then I will buy one.

No hate on this specific 4Runner, but with all the questioning about reverse rake with the Eibach kit, I'm not sure this is the best picture to debunk it. Do you have a profile pic?

I don't, but see the truck 3 times a week and saw the measurements. It doesn't have reverse rake. It's just a goofy angle and the rear is slanted down. The parking lot isnt level. You're in a thread with 71 pages full of pics too. haha

When I first installed my kit, it did appear to have some negative rake. It was very slight but noticeable. However, after about a week, it looks like the front end may have settled down. It now appears to be perfectly level, which is a huge relief. This is my person experience, and results may vary from truck to truck.

Guys, there's no reverse rake with this setup going on a stock truck. 17500 miles in with this kit and it's awesome and I have zero regrets, and you won't either.

Stop overthinking this.
