Eibach Pro-truck lift

Hi Everyone I have 2015 trail with 124K on it

I have truck pro shocks installed with stock springs, set to the highest position, installed a couple of years ago (can't remember the millage). I was chasing a front end clunk (many threads out there on the subject) and was following process of elimination. So far I rebuilt the Camburg UCAs, rebuilt drive shafts (axles), replaced the front diff bearings, replaced wheel bearings. In the last episode of tail chasing I decided to change the coil-over top mounts (hats).

Dropped the truck at a well qualified indie shop, an hour later I got call saying that Eibach shock on the driver side is going down with hardly any resistance and making a click/ clunk when compressed by hand!. Shocks are not leaking btw.

Asked them to put everything back the way it was so I can drive around while trying to resolve this. Has anyone experienced similar issue? Front end clunk going over bumps minor clunk while braking when reversing out of the drive way? I can feel it the floor of the vehicle.

I would contact Eibach. Those shocks have a million mile warranty.

Installed my kit a week ago. Only thing I did differently was use Wheelers T1 coil for the front to get 2.5 lift. Thought the 2.75 up front was too high for my liking. Also went with Freedom offroad UCA to keep my alignment perfect. Kept my stock size 265/70/17 Falkens At3W
hey man, it looks grea!, so you bought the whole kit from eibach and did not use the front springs and instead bought the ones from wheelers? just wondering what is the most effective way to achieve this look

I did a ton of research into the Eibach lift and I’m confused and a little disappointed. I don’t know how people are leveling their 4Runner on the first perch. I have mine on the first perch and I still have the factory rake. After some digging and a call to Eibach, I need to go up to the 2nd. I kinda wish I had skipped the back springs, and kept with the 265s. First perch, no rear springs I guess would be level. *♂️

That's because there are a bunch of dipshits out there that think being level still means having some rake.

If all you want is looks - spacers would've been cheaper.

The improved handling is why I really like my full Eibach kit. Supporting winch and bumper is the 2nd reason for me.

There are numerous pics of "level" trucks on the first clip in this thread. There's also some pics of slightly raked trucks on the first clip. There are also pics of level trucks on the second clip....and pics of reverse raked trucks on the second clip. Go jump in a tire fitment thread and see people rubbing with the exact same wheel/tire setup as other people who don't rub. These trucks don't all react the same. If you want a perfect specific custom height all around, you might need to pony up for a slightly fancier setup than a $700 one-size-fits-all bolt in kit.

I'm on 1st clip and mine looks level to me with no obvious lean. Maybe it's just an optical illusion in the mall parking lot though.

If all I wanted was looks that’s what I would have done. I’m not mad that I have to go up a notch, I’m not thrilled that I have to take it all apart again. The handling and ride is great and got even better with the 285 KO2s.

Are you on the highest perch to support the added weight? Just ordered my steel bumper and currently have the eibach set up for the 2.75" lift setting.
How's the ride at 3"? Are you using aftermarket UCA?

I'm hoping with the added weight of a steel bumper and winch I can still get away using the stock uca.

I've been reading over this thread and I searched the entire thread and noticed no mention of RWD 4Runners with the Pro Truck lift so I figured I would just ask. I just bought a 2WD 2021 SR5P for my wife. She loves it. However, the stock rake on this thing is crazy. I'm pretty sure the 2WD uses different coils and shocks up front than the 4WD. The Pro Truck lift looks like a perfect solution for us. I'm wondering though, can I expect the stance/lift height to be the same as it would be with a 4WD 4Runner? My first thought is yes since I'd be pulling out the stock coils and shocks and replacing them with the Pro Truck lift coils and shocks, but I'm not totally sure.

I guess I'm a little concerned that with the additional weight of a 4WD (transfer case, shafts, front diff, etc.) that it helps weigh down the front a bit more than a 2WD and I would end up being too high in the front with a 2WD.

Also, are the Eibach coils that come with the Pro Truck solution the same for both 4WD and 2WD or do you select those options when you purchase?

Thanks in advance.

Partywaggin - Tirerack.com showed that it was in stock and I called and spoke to a sales rep and he said it was in stock if I ordered a la carte. I got the rear shocks in 3 days, but front adjustable shocks and all 4 springs now show with a status of "Product Availability Hold" which I'm assumming means they are on backorder. There is definately something going on with supply chain. It's not just Eibach, it's all the players in the suspension game...Bilstein, Ironman, Eibach, Fox are all seeing these supply chain issues and it's not just the suspension market either.

About a month ago I called 5 different dealerships in the Houston area looking for a new 4Runner for my wife. When I asked these dealerships why they had nothing on the lot, they said it was because of a "microchip shortage". It's total BS. The dealerships love this environment. Prevents them from having to carry hundreds of thousands of dollars in inventory and forces the customer to place an order, most of the time, at sticker price while the customer waits several months to receive the product they've paid for. I guess it's the new way of doing business.

In terms of your wait since March for your Eibach lift...it must be the microchip shortage;-) I'm sure I'll be in the same boat you are within the next few months. Good luck.

Unfortunately, it's not BS. In the fleet world I work in (I'm in government fleet, but also rental, large businesses, etc.) the expected delivery of all vehicles from cars to dump trucks has gone to hell. The whole world has spent the past decade or so going LEAN and Six Sigma on all the manufacturing: whatever parts you need to build a widget are delivered moments before you need them. This equals no back stock. Anywhere. Everything is produced on schedule. Bring on the pandemic, and that schedule just got blown to hell. Add on top of that any problems with buildings (one of the semiconductor manufacturers had a building burn down) and it gets worse. Ford was actually continuing to build their F150s and storing them, waiting for the modules to plug in and then deliver to dealerships.
Dealers can't get inventory. Rental fleets can't turn over their fleet of vehicles, which increases maintenance costs and no sales revenue of the old vehicles. On and on.
Trust me, it's real.

Ordered my full Pro kit back in March from a third party. Still waiting for it to arrive. Anyone else doing better?

I ordered mine from Toytec on April 22nd and was told in May, these will be available June 22nd or early July.

After several emails asking for an update Toytec now says 3 weeks.

I then put a call into Eibach and they said orders placed today would be done August 13th, which I find hard to believe.

I ordered from Wheeler's in mid-March with an estimated stock date of mid-May, which then turned into late-June. Those came and went, and now they're not even bothering to give me an estimate. :frusty:

Been skimming through the post but with 152 pages I've given up haha

Running the protruck kit on my 2015 sr5 rwd for almost a year now. It's a great kit imo especially for the price.

Recently jumped up from stock tires to 295/70/17 on kmc impact 17x9 -12. Had a bmc and bumper cut before hand and have absolutely no rub. It's been great to say the least.

Now my question is. I'm currently on the first clip up front as I have no real added weight like a bumper or winch up front I'm looking to try and get a little bit more lift wise. how much would moving to second perch or even third get me? Enough to swap in 2" rear springs and be level?

Sorry as I'm sure this has been asked or gone over but again...152 pages is a lot haha

Rig looks great Katsu. If you reference post #2084 of this thread there was a guy who moved up to the 3rd perch. I think it looks great. Looks like he had to add 1.5" of additional height to the back to level things out. If you search this thread for username "Bear X SF" you should get a good idea of what it looks like.

Hey guys I have been doing some digging on this kit.

A couple questions. Is the front height locked in at 2.75”? I have seen a couple sites that are showing them in stock so I am ready to pull the trigger but was wondering if it’s adjustable.

If the front is locked at 2.75 and 1 in the rear, is a cornfed spaced an option for the rear to add lift in case I have a reverse rake?
