is there someone in Morgan Hill that doesn't work for Specialized? If so, what's life like there, compared to SJ or SC?

Life's good man, it's quiet but expanding.. there's normal small town crimes but being a stones throw away from the modern day San Jose, it's expected. Real estate is booming in MH as anywhere in the Bay. Lots of retirement homes and office parks popping up.

Alongside Specialized and Fox, there's a handful of fabrication companies (trade show displays from what I learned) and medical tech. Shoe Palace corp just moved their operations to MH (took over the old Hospira building).

And the progress.

Last week. Airbags have been installed. They've welded in a new lower link mount section, replaced axle shafts, replaced the driver side rear shock/reservoir, mounted new rear doors, pulled dents, and are preparing for paint.

Checked in today. Almost done! Waiting for door trims and I think they're just buttoning up some small things now.. Wheel alignment, fluid changes, and DMV inspection to get it back on the road

I have not.. For some reason the shop felt the need to tell me it was going to be done sooner than it really was.

From the last post, they still had to wet sand and polish the top coat and a complication came up with the 4WD system. He said the truck would not move when switched into 4wd so he had to replace a sensor wire.

Now we're waiting some the driver seatbelt parts to come in as well as some clips. We don't need no seatbelts!! Hand over the keys guy!

Pretty awesome transformation. Wish I would have known that TRDP was at coprarts, the hood would have been mine! We are from MH, and I lived off Tennant by Paradise Valley from 1985-2005. My family and sister are still there. What shop is doing all your work? I used to work at a couple of the Autobody shops there years ago. Have you been on MH for long? Did you go to school there? if so what year did you graduate?

Picked up the rig Wednesday, and skipped town Thursday evening to put it through the paces up north.

Stayed a couple of nights at my buddy's place in Kelseyville and got to check out Cow Mountain for a couple of hours.

It was all fun and games until my buddy didn't hear our local friend warning us that the creek got deep. Taco ended up with a foot of water in his truck! Our Rubi got him to the edge but burned his clutch (on its way out) before he could get the Tacoma over the lip. He hooked me up and I was able to finish the job [emoji41]

Saturday morning we continued on our journey another 3.5hrs north to McArthur Burney Falls SP. Fished and camped for a night before wrapping it up back to reality.

Perfect way to break her in I would say!
