When I got the truck it only came with 1 key. Luckily it was the master key or else I wouldn't have been able to make copies, and if I lost it i would have lost it.
I ended up making 4 copies (excessive? possibly)
Got myself a Techstream MVCI cable from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00W97K7O6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_mTShxbRF492ZT) and struggled to get the correct software but finally got it to connect.
Ordered 4 G-chip remote key blanks and had them cut then programmed the transponders to the runner. Fitted 1 into a flip key housing and now I have peace of mind!

That flip key is pretty cool- mind sharing the details on it? Do all the alarm functions work?

Like it! I've done the flip key conversion but wouldn't mind a couple extra copies, even one that's just an ignition key without the remote. Mind sharing where you picked them up?

The flip key was also from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B011Y3MVEY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_0lThxb9663HEJ it is just a shell though. You swap the remote inners and transponder chip into the shell, get the blade cut and you're set.
At first I bought the wrong keys off of Amazon, when purchasing the key blanks make sure they are G-chip or else the 5th gen won't be able to communicate with the transponder. I had to order extra G-chip transponders off of eBay because of my mistake but it's helpful to know this is possible in case you need extra chips for any reason.

If you search "Toyota G Key" on Amazon, you'll come up with all your options including the OEM Toyota key without remote

Rainy day yesterday so my buddies and I went out to rip up some vacant lots.. tight donuts in 1st gear is something else :wow:
After a quick rinse this morning, I finally got to mounting a Viair 400P I won on Ebay for a generous discount! Figured the engine bay behind the air box is a better spot than taking up a cubic foot of precious cargo space in the back. Thanks to the write up by [MENTION=65614]Antman[/MENTION] I began relocating wires so make space for the compressor. I currently have the alligator clips in a bag tucked away on the side.
Now to figure out how to wire up a fuse box to run my lights and all the other fun accessories.
Mounted my Maglite 3-cell LED a few weeks ago. This mod is worth it's weight in D batteries!!

I like what you came up with for your VIAIR 400P. I just ordered a 88P and need to see if I can do something similar.

Looks like my VIAIR 88P install under the hood will be a no-go for a couple of reasons.....
Seems I'll have to wait on that with an upgraded unit.
88P will just have to ride in a bag in the back for now! :becky:

Finally found the motivation to get the rig under jack stands and install this lift that's been sitting in the garage for a couple months!! I went to my buddy's house (who owns those 2 jeeps in the meme) to work on the rig. We were supposed to start at 9am but didn't get started until 1130 after dicking around with his jeeps and proper Summer Ale lubricants.
I went with Bilstein 6112 in the front and Toytec Superflex springs in the rear with the stock TRD pro rear res shocks. I bought the 6112 used from a FJ part out, he had a Toytec top mount that I opted to leave in. 6112 is on the 4th clip (1 down from top)
Along with those components, I rolled the dice on the JBA BJ upper control arms and definitely glad I did! Alignment tech was able to get my caster to 3.5* while keeping everything else in spec. Perfect.

Lift happened Saturday.. Alignment Monday, then I took off on a day trip to Yosemite NP on Wednesday. Got a few flicks after a good hike to the top of Nevada Falls via Mist Trail and a few more angles on the way out of the park. Very satisfied with the lift and first big drive. The ride's a tad stiffer than the stock TRDP, just as I wanted.

Then.. Sunday rolls around and I decide to take off again. 2 buddies and I head for the hills to do an overnight camp near Kirkwood, Silver Lake to be exact. Got there, went fishing for a little, cooked at camp, camp activities, then went for some Milky Way photography. In the morning we packed up, and drove around the lake where I found some trees I wanted to break in the lift and do a baby crawl.
Back on the highway headed home and I am keeping my eye out for roads off of HWY-88 when I randomly take an exit. I see a sign for snowmobile trails so I figure I go check it out, and we end up at an abandoned ski resort.. took a slope down to this awesome view where we were forced to turn around (or take a double black diamond plunge to our deaths). Pretty cool find, I hope I can find it on Google Maps so I can find out what this place was! **EDIT** I found out this place was Iron Mountain Sno Park.. aka Carson Ski Area. Very interesting stuff.

I've had several PM's asking about the JBA UCA's and alignment.. yes they did help very much. We were able to push the caster angle up to 3.5* while keeping toe and camber in spec perfectly. I would recommend getting them, the install was a breeze, couldn't be any happier! :surfer::whoo:

You must be looking at the HD arms. I got the standard ones for $449 judging from what I read on Tacomaworld, it seemed to suit my needs.
