I thought there was supposed to be a way to figure out if the engine and my vehicle is original Supposedly there's a serial number or something stamped on the block on the driver's side at the front corner just below the head.
When I finally got it cleaned up enough to figure out what it says..... It says 0707070 ... no, that's nothing close To my Vin number or anything remotely close to anything in it..
So I'm wondering if the motor has been changed? Is there any way to tell?
Tried calling my local Toyota dealer and asking them for the build sheat, They said this would not give me any confirmation on the motor.... Basically the guy said it was a complete waste of time and that the information on there was so vague it wouldn't tell me anything about my 4runner
