So the other day the wife calls me and tells me she is broke down. She heard a pop and then saw steam and coolant coming out of the hood. She said instantly the temp guage went to hot and she pulled over. she waited till it cooled off and got it to the closest gas station. she ended up getting some water and limping it home with out it heating up again. She took a look under the hood and saw that the radiator was cracked in a couple of places. So i get a radiator to bring home and install. Radiator installed I fire it up and the lifter are rattline like crazy. Wife swears it didnt make a sound on the way home. So I take it to work the next day (which it ran great beside the lifter noise which wasnt bad)to see what the guys can do. They ended up not being able to look at it till the next day. When I fired it up yesterday to pull it into the shop I heard a slight knock coming from below....they confirmed it and said there is knock in the lower engine. CRAP!!! So I price some motors and they range from $2200 to $2900. So I am at a crossroads on what to do. Should I fix it or just try to sell it?
