Engine Oil Consumption???

Owners manual states (page 501 on 2011): "Oil consumption: Max 1.1 qt./600 miles"
That calculates that in about 3,600 miles there will be no more engine oil left. Do I read it right?

It blows my mind that Toyota thinks up to 1.1 qts/600 miles is normal.
Usually, when Toyota says it's normal, it means they don't know how to fix it.
So far, my 2012 doesn't show any consumption. But I'm not following Toyota's oil change interval recommendation (10K mile OCI's).

I have 17,800 miles on my 2012 and levels have remained unchanged. In other words, only trace amounts are consumed or lost during normal driving conditions. Toyota, along with other auto manufacturers write these statements in their manuals more or less as a disclaimer, not because it actually occurs. Although, before I started buying Toyota products, I needed to sneak in up to 1/2 a quart between oil changes for my JEEP G.C. and other Chrysler vehicles!

Haha - looks like my 99' Durango when I would rev it up a few times in P! It was like the batmobile smoke screen. Only did it when reving it up in P or N. Never shed a bit of smoke when running, even when put to the floor.
