It's my understanding KDSS blocks the area needed to install wings on a 4Runner.
Definitely grounded.
Engineering Design Decision? For TRD Pro... No Sun roof, no KDSS.. But why?

I was just at my dealer last week and they said that the Inferno is no longer availble going forward. Just white and black. Not sure if it was truth or just dealer BS.

Truth. There will be two new colors of the TRD Pro next year plus white and black...

Really? When I ordered mine, I was thinking if I had to wait until June, might as well wait a few more months and get a 2016. I asked my dealer about the logic there and was told flat out that the TRD Pro 4runner is only being made for 2015. Could be nothing was announced yet, could be they were not being honest, or who knows.

My dealer and parts department both said that there will be TRD PRO's in 2016. Makes sense if they stick to the seven year schedule and roll out a redesign in 2017. Interested to hear about the new colors; my inferno is due at the end of the month:jump:

I'm sure they will make them, but they have not been officially announced yet with 2 more colors.

The potential resale value of the TRD Pro plus the upgraded suspension backed by a factory warranty are reasons I'd pick the Pro over the TE. And being unlikely to upgrade my 4Runner (other than a winch) makes buying the model with the best factory suspension and a rear locker more important. Anyone added a front winch and/ or bumper to a stock Pro or TE? Any problems with the added weight. And would heavier front springs work with the stock Pro or TE suspension? I guess that's the argument for the TE just get a TE and put on some Fox 2.5 coil over reservoir shocks.
4 Runners hold their value but limited/ special TRD editions of the Tacoma, FJ Cruiser, etc. retain even more value. I'd also pick a used GX460 with base shocks and KDSS plus the brilliant full time Torsen all wheel drive plus low range over a 4Runner Limited. Unfortunately the GX460 would need a rear locker unless you were staying on road. It does have a sophisticated rear end but and ARB air locker would be an improvement.
While folks are lamenting the missing sunroof and KDSS I'm wishing a 4Runner TRD Pro had the AWD Torsen system with low range. Which makes me really really want a Land Cruiser but the price combined with the mpg of a tank.
