Simple!
Remove the front diff and tap it on the floor. I'm guessing it was an aftermarket axle.

No idea. Came with the truck. I honestly doubt they had been changed out over the course of its 200,000 previous-owner miles, considering it had the original spark plugs and wires.

Got that damned starter swapped out. It wasnt all that fun. Been working on bending all the alignment cam tabs that are bent back into position and cleaning 15-year-old caked on grease/oil from under there. Should get those LCAs back on tonight, maybe even the diff too.

Pic showing new starter, new LCA bushings and alignment cams/bolts, new rotors. Not visible: new lower BJs, new Wagner ThermoQuiet pads.

Next step: install front diff.

That diff was incredibly hard to put back in by myself.

I painted my calipers for the hell of it while I was down there last night...

Tonight Ill get the CVs installed and start looking at the steering rack.
