Those stories are funny....I have one myself. I was backing up from the Mall garage. on the left side of my spot was a big square concrete column. My girlfriend was with me at the time. Behind me was a young pretty girl driving a convertible BMW waiting for the spot. So, I kept looking back at her while backing up and my left front pumper(honda civic) hit the column. I could heard the noise. After backing out, I checked it out and saw a big two-hand-size dent on the bumper. My girlfriend didn't know what was the reason. :chair:

I took it to the autobody shop, it estimate about $500 to fix the dent and repaint it. But I decide to take off the bumper, and step on it from the inside then use the rubber hammer to fix the rest.

Some of those posts are painful to read, especially the one by the guy who managed to find the one non-standard height parking spot in the garage and wedged his truck in there. I think I'd shoot myself...

I think we've all been there. One of my worst mistakes was with my last vehicle, an '02 Ford Explorer. I went to the gas station to fill up one my tires because I noticed it was low on air. Well it was VERY windy that night and when I opened the door, the wind jerked it out of my hand and it swung open with so much force, it bent the hinges, and managed to put a small crack in the corner of the windshield from the stress. The worst part was that the door would not close completely after that without a LOT of force. I even took it to Ford to get fixed and they said there was really nothing they could do so I had to live with a door that never closed without a good 2 or 3 tries.

I did that to an 85 S10 Blazer of mine once. I was being stupid by going to get a closer look at a fire near my house during a Santa Ana wind. For some strange reason, I felt compelled to get out of the car; as soon as I released the door latch, WHAM the wind wrapped the door partly around the hinge.

My wife called me at work to tell me somebody had broken into her Jeep Grand Cherokee. She said they tore up the passenger door prying on the window before it shattered, and attempted to steal her sterio (unsuccessfully). All in broad daylight in front of her workplace. This was the second time this had happened that year, and I was pretty pissed.

I left work immediately to inspect the damage and get her window temporarily covered. As I pulled up the the scene of the crime, I started into the parking space right next to her Jeep but stopped short after noticing all of the broken glass on the ground. Not wanting to park in the glass, I threw my pickup into reverse and backed out... ***BANG*** right into a lady driving another damn Jeep Grand Cherokee. THAT was a very bad day. Twisted the chrome bumper on my previously accident-free 93 Toyota pickup and put a 6" dent in the body behind my rear wheel. I inflicted about $1,200 worth of damage to the front end of the Jeep.
