Exploring some easy 4wd near Aspen, CO

Went up Express Creek Road to Taylor Pass to Richmond Hill to Little Annie this morning near Aspen to break in the new truck. Great loop. This time of year you can drive down the face of Aspen Mountain ski area, but we opted for quicker route today down Annie. The Richmond Hill part is fairly long so it took about 3 hours roundtrip from the pavement of Castle Creek Road. Maybe 20 miles on dirt.

Unfortunately the leaves had mostly dropped in the area we drove today, but things were looking great two valleys over on Friday.

I drove UP Aspen Mountain in my new Trail (<3k) I was relaxed much more on the way down via Little Annie Rd.

Tires are the Nitto Terra Grapplers 275/55. FYI, they're 1/2 inch outside of recommended rim width, see discussion here http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/60772-20-inch-wheels-limited.html
