Extended Warranty

I bought an extended warranty from two of [MENTION=108754]gamester5[/MENTION] contacts. Both were well under the local dealer price for the zero deductible platinum.
One for my old 2013 4Runner and the other for a 2018 Sienna.
I was concerned about all the electronics/computer systems.
The 4 Runner warranty expired unused. Have not used the Sienna warranty.
I would probably do it again on a future purchase due to the complex systems in cars.

When is it too late for an extended warranty? Is it before factory warranty expire's or the factory powertrain warranty expires?

I bought 10 yr extended warranty for 2017 SR5 Premium for the electronics. Recently my touch screen - specifically the Radio "Options" selection to get to the "Scan" button, has become very sticky and hard to select. Let's see what happens when I hand the dealer my 10 year warranty....

Frankly speaking, it brings me joy seeing Gamester looking after Toyota nation folks even after having reached out to him back in 2018 to get the contact information for his plug.
I ended up purchasing a fantastic plan through this wonderful lady and they both actually saved my ass with the stealership overcharging for the very same plan. Once I obtained the details, I went back to the stealership and met with the sales manager and finance manager.
I plainly told them that I understood they needed to make a profit but how they overcharged me was unacceptable and they'd need to either match the pricing for said plan or write a check. They overcharged me by $2k...that's a lot of money no matter your income. They refused to write a check saying it's impossible to price match due to "regional pricing" then I had to threaten litigation pointing out the fine print in their own documents saying I was entitled to a refund within 30 days of warranty purchase.
That is when they quickly bent over and wrote a check same day. I didn't even thank them. I grabbed the paper check from the finance guy's hand and walked out without saying a single word. They knew I wasn't a pushover customer and they probably realized they lost a customer who could have sent others to their stealership.

New 2023 TRD Off Road Premium. Dealer tried to steer me to a CNA 8yr 0 deductible for $2800 !!! Thankfully I know better. BTW, he said the Toyota warranty would be higher.

Last week the dealer wanted $1995 for the best Toyota 3yr/36k. I told the guy about how they sold me the best Toyota 3/36k in 2016 on the TEP they sold me and that was only $550ish. Yes, I know that was 7 years ago.
He said the best they could possibly do was maybe $1500.
No thanks. I didn't want the 8% or 9% financing either.

Did you get a warranty? Were you all set? These dealerships are just ripping people off, I get tired of their lines of BS.
