Factory Service Manuals

I have been looking online for Factory Service Manuals for my 2011 Trail 4runner.

So far, this is the only site I have come across, and the price seems very steep:

Helm Incorporated: Search Results

I remember a prior post discussing the TIS (Technical Information System) that the dealer mechanics use.

Are these hard-copy manuals the same thing, just in printed form?

Just recently talked to a parts guy at the dealership and that's the price he told me per volume. He said he's only seen one person in the last 5 years buy them.

A full set is like $1400. I have not seen any for models newer than 2011 either. There is actually a set I have been watching for over a year on fleaceBay if you were curious.

That also buys a lot of visits to the Toyota TIS site. TIS is the same as the manuals but web-based.

Last manuals I got were part of the deal when I bought my 3rd Gen. That was ten years ago. I like paper but not at those costs.

Sure don't, but 99% of it is the same. If you need something that has changed, like wiring harness info for an entune radio or something, you can buy a day pass to techstream and save off any info you need.
