Factory Tundra LED Fog Lights in 5th Gen 4Runner

These are not the new rigid LED fogs on the 2019 TRD Pro. Those aren't available for purchase from dealers yet unless you have a 2019 TRD Pro VIN.

You are correct, these are not from Rigid, these are Toyota parts (PT413-42191, PT413-42190) listed to fit the following:

wonder how the light quality and fit and finish is on these china made ones is compared to the OEM ones made in japan that you have to buy separate which come on 18 tundras and 19 4R pros

You don't need anything else since you will be reusing the existing screws.

BTW, according to #8 post of this thread, the member installed the less expensive pair (ones available for 2019 models) on his 2018 https://www.4runners.com/threads/oem-led-foglights-upgrade.7791/

Just take your time, I was able to do mine from underneath. As for the right side (passenger), there is an extra plastic piece behind the fog light restricting access. If you are lazy like me, look at the picture and you should be able to release the tabs by feel if need be.

How's going. I read that the Tundra OEM led fog lights are compatible with 5th gen 4runners and I came across a set of Tundra OEM LED fog lights for sale and want to purchase these, but I am not sure if they fit my 2017 4Runner Limited??

After reviewing this post I believe they are but would like to confirm. I also read the difficulty in removing the fog light housing from the limited, so preparing myself for the task.

Just ordered a set from the dealer. Was not aware they sold China made parts. If I do install them I will get pics up of the beam pattern. I have heard the Chinese ones give a poor beam pattern then the Japan ones, but have yet to see anyone here post anything about them other then a part number.

I have the black Chinese version I bought on Amazon for about $110. They are great lights. MY only complaint would be that they are slightly bluer than I like. My HID have more of a green color at 5500K. These are more like 6500-7500K. I really like how wide they project and how they have great a great cut-off vertically.

Curious to know also i did the black fogs part #PT413-42191 and love the color and cutoff line. now i am trying to get the same temp color hids, is it way off with the 5500k hids?

Took a look under the TuRD today. Are the fogs only mounted with two screws?

Did this install last weekend and what a difference it makes! Everyone should be doing this if you’re trying to stay oem and want some increased visibility at night.

Took me 45min to do both sides. Only held in by 2 screws. Passenger side took a bit longer but once I got the cover off (prying a small flat head into the connector) it was smooth sailing. Well worth the money.

They put the light right where it should be...I just can't decide if that's where I want it, and if I want more of it, in exchange for not using it when there's oncoming traffic at night, only. Baja Designs has an SAE lense version of the squadrons coming out this summer, I'm thinking that might be more in line with my wants, while still being legal.
