Fading, Hazy Hood Paint: wrap or plastidip?

My brother repaired the faded clear coat on his truck by just sanding the damaged areas and spraying with 2k clear coat. Don't use 1k as it will not have the same sheen as the stock clear coat.

Diy rattle can jobs are fine for you tube but they rarely if ever turn out good. Find a body shop guy that does stuff on the side. May be prep the hood your self to bare metal and then have em shoot the primer, color and clear.

This is what I did with my sport hood a few years back. You would only notice it if I told you. It was really cheap too, I paid $150 for it. Black is a little easier to match though so that was good for me.

Think I'm gonna go satin or matte black to keep the glare to a minimum.

Either wrap or plastidip if done right are reversible, non damaging - but which is more durable, easier to install and touch up if rock chipped?

Cost some coin but roof, hood, all bumpers and sides are done up. I'm satisfied and it's easy to maintain.

Truth in that, vids never show the fails.
I practiced a lot on scrap hood I had, sanding and prep easy part.
