I like the look of the Cooper tires. My Uncle used them religously on his Tundra before he went with the Geolanders. The most mileage he ever got out of them was about 30K though. For the price of them compared to some others that's not all that bad.
Jacal, I agree with you about the chains. Honestly though I wouldn't want to use them on my 4Runner due to the amount of damage they could do should they break spinning at a high RPM (spinning up hill through deep snow for example). If I had a company truck then yes, absolutely I would use them. Thanks for the thought anyway.
I'm currently doing a job for Hoosier Energy in Indiana right now. They can get me an awesome deal on any Bridgestone/Firestone or Cooper tires, since they use them on their company trucks. I should be able to get the Destination M/T's in a 265x70 17 for about $150 a tire. I saw on tirerack that they're currently going for $185 a tire. I'm sure I could get the Coopers really cheap but I haven't looked to see what they can get them for yet.
