While doing my timing belt, I noticed the bearing on my fan clutch doesn't feel as smooth anymore and I should probably replace it next time I do a coolant flush (in ~2 years).
The entire bracket costs ~$140 for a new AISIN unit. It's just a bearing and it seems like a waste to have to junk the whole piece because of that. Has anyone managed to figure out if just the bearing can be pressed out/replaced? When I examined the part, it was not evident if it could be taken apart. Maybe someone else has tried?
