Favorite rock rails?

So, who likes what kinds of rock rails for a 3rd gen (2000) T4R? I'm looking for something to protect the rocker panels on the trail, but also to help the vertically challenged in the family get a leg up. I've never been a big fan of the hanging 'steps' (because I think those are just perfect for getting hung up on rocks) - but I could be wrong. You tell me.

White Knuckle has a nice looking set, and so does ShrockWorks ...

Your thoughts & opinions, please?

i like the 4xinnovations sliders, they are sleek and functional with an optional kickout infront of the rear tire which i use as a step to get up on the tire to access the roof rack

hm, I like both. I like the idea of the unwelded legs in order to weld up the best fit on the 4xI's, but I dig the engineering on the Stubbs' HD-SKO units, too. Prices are real comparable, too.

Most of the guys in our group have the 4XInnovations sliders, but I may get the TG DOM sliders from Addicted Offroad...you just can't beat <$180 shipped!

I know several of the guys here took the Trail Gear ones off because they werent holding up and went with 4xInnovations. Outdoor Logic is coming out with two different kinds of rock sliders for our trucks and should be competitively priced.

Anybody have opinions of Savage Offroads' rock rails?

Price is comparable/middle of the road, compared to everything I've looked at; but I really like the 4-leg design, and the scab plate/gussets look pretty substantial. I like Stubbs' HD-SKO's design too, but I like the idea of the rounded kick-out vs. the flared one - but I can see that possibly hanging up on something if you had to back off a spot.

I'm probably going to saddle a pair of Savage's, but just wanted your views first, since I know a bunch of you have their stuff mounted up.

The 3rdGen Addicted sliders are pretty much the design I'd like to use, but no-one seems to build them that way. Is it just to much of a PITA to manufacture it that way or what? Is it a cost thing? I have addicted off Road's hybrid sliders. NOT the trail-gear. These are much better and the correct length for both 3rd and 4th Gen Runners. I love the look and never worry about my rocker panel's anymore

Maybe try to find a local fab shop and have some built to your specs/preference.

Huh? We offer the same sliders for 4th gens as 3rd gens. Just a few inches longer.

I just ordered a set of the 4xinnovations sliders for my 92. Heard nothing but good things about them. Cant wait to get them on!!
