I usually don't buy into this stuff but try a bottle of Mr. Gasket CataClean. The cat code will come on when the cat is working at 96% efficiency. (Thanks Liberals) Hardly a bad cat. $24 for a bottle. I've used it on two different vehicles, never had the issue again. A buddy of mine that runs an Indy shop actually uses it now too and his customers love him for it. Well worth the $24 gamble IMO

Right on. Worth a shot. I have tried Lucas Oil treatment. I did notice the P0420 stayed off longer in between when I added a bottle to my tank.

No. Orlando, but went to UF and I am actually heading up there (Alachua) Sunday for a cyclocross race.

Just spoke with the toy/lex shop. All fingers point to cats since my O2 sensors are only around a year and a half old. Me thinks they are on the verge since the P0420 is random and not consistent and truck is running just fine.

Gonna try the product that PitbullRescuer suggested. Why not for $25. Read some reviews and worth a shot.

If it comes back, will either get the O2 simulator or go with some Eastern Catalytic cats.

They had to set the limit somewhere and I'm ok with breathing clean air. The limit was probably determined by some scientific data that shows a majority of CC's are completely trashed (or will be quickly) if they're not performing at 96% or above. They're actually designed/manufactured to do their job for an indefinite amount of time and then some, so when they go, it was probably catastrophic (no pun intended)... I posted pics of mine and a large part of the catalyst honeycomb structure was completely dissolved/burnt/trashed.

You owe me a sandwich! ;-) If it were me, I'd just get new cats. That sim thing is about half what it'd cost to have an exhaust shop weld in a suitable replacement. You could also replace the upstream cat by itself to see if that resolves the issue.
