How many racks would you be able to ship together to save the most money for us on the west coast? Clearly, the less the shipping, the more likely we will be buying as shipping kind of kills it for me personally.

Second question... What is the correct positing of the rack? I think racks looks best as far back as they can go and I have seen some people do just that. Only problem is their sunroof becomes almost non functional. Anyone have pictures of how they positioned theirs (both top down and side)?

The math favors 2 racks at a time, doesn't matter if I ship 2, or 2 groups of 2, bill-wise two racks is the sweet spot. Even at that, 125-130 a person is a fantastic cross-country rate for anything this size.

The standard rack leaves the sunroof area open and the front will have 4 vertical stanchions. You see variations because I'm fine with custom work and light bars require their own layout. Any light bar customers are advised to source and ship me the bar to build into the rack, single row bars fit best.

Placement is your call. There is about 6" of fore and aft wiggle room on the 3rd gens, none on the 4th gens.

Bump for an awesome product!!!

I have mine positioned as far back as possible, to where the spoiler on the lift gate is about 1/4" from hitting the rack when open. My sunroof is still fully functional, the rack doesn't cover any of it. I posted up a little while back with a picture of mine.

How do we do payment?? 1/2 down and the other 1/2 when complete before shipping?

Does anything help support the front of the rack? I just looked at Wooden Payloads rack...and it appears to float. Just concerned if I put any kind of decent weight up front.

Also, what's the height of the top bar in the front...from the cab. I have to keep an eye on height to still get in my garage.

Yep, there are supports up front. Basically a beefy bolt to act as a leveler and support. It rests on plates I provide which are adhered to the roof with 3M tape.

Payment can be either 1/2-1/2 or full payment up front, whatever works best for you and keeping track of things.

I'm pretty sure the rack is no more than 4-1/2" above the highest point of the roof. I don't have my truck here right now so I cant measure. Mine still fits with OME 906's in the rear. Maybe someone else can chime in with measurement.

The fairing is up to you. You no doubt seen a few versions, most just plexiglass which is cheap, easy to work with, and totally functional. [MENTION=91228]Wooden Payload[/MENTION] is working up a killer fairing design for his rig and may be able to offer them to others as well. I, too, was worried my 4Runner with SS1.2 lift on 285s would not fit into my standard residential garage (7'-0" height), but it easily cleared with ~ 6" of clearance. When my buddy helped me finally install my own WMW roof rack, he measured the final height and came up with 78"...

Having said that, based on your numerous led bar installs, do you see a similarity which would warrant offering a " universal light bar. This would give the option to change out or add lights or configuration options in the future.

See the first post, i've added an image of the most recent additions. thats the standard rack, minus the expanded metal floor which is obviously included just not on the drawing.

Build time could very well take until the end of January if your are the 5th guy or so.

Nope, there is no way to nail down a universal light bar fit, there are just way too many bars on the market now. Rather than shipping one twice, have it shipped to me when you order, everything I've worked with thus far has been well packaged and free of damage, including the most recent Baja Designs bar a customer sent ($$$$). the closest I can get to something universal is to leave all the front stanchions out and trust that the buyer has access to metalworking tools. the front of the racks include a 3" deep light "shelf" which spans the width of the front of the rack.

What's up Mason......

I've been corresponding with Josh prior to this offer; so if this works out I like your idea of sharing on shipping. I like the low profile of this rack as well as it's American made from a skilled craftsman. Our Yakima rack barely slides in without the body lift, so this could be the answer.

Having said that; my concern moving forward, is sending my rigid light to custom fit the rack and will the rack fit in my garage with the BL and 3" Icon.
