[FENDERS] BAJA / Fiberglass / Prerunner

I am looking for a set of fenders to replace my stock ones. I own a 2001 T4R SR5 2WD not a 4x4 & I have plans on building a daily driver that is able to plan in the sand/mud & go where ever I want sorta say :naughty:

So what companies make fenders that are like a BAJA or a Prerunner style? how about after market hoods to add to the fenders? I have been looking to buy a sport hood the one that has the OEM hood scoop on it but I can not find nothing at my local wrecking yard that is under 400$ yeah I know ebay is cheaper but still I am looking for color match

Two off the top of my head are Glassworks and Hannemann Fiberglass. Also Fiberwerx sells them too. I think most are going to be for the 95.5-04 tacomas not specifically 3rd gen 4Runners.

The only fenders I would look at is the glassworks unlimited ones. They are the best quality and will fit the best. Here is a link to their 4runner fenders

Sport Hood

Check out Certifit, I have their sport hood which cost me $79.00. You will need to purchase the scoop inserts through toyota parts. Which I purchased through an online Toyota dealer for $135. Do a search on this forum or yota tech for write ups. Certifit Online for hood scoop, btw they don't ship but have locations in a most major cities.

No sure if your just in it for the look of the fenders but I'm using my stock limited fenders with my LT and it doesn't rub. I had to gut my fenders pretty good but I can tuck up under the flare. And from what I have been told, the tacos fenders work but you have to use taco corner lights.

once your get some you should make a fiberglass molds. my drifting buddys make their own front and rear bumpers because they are always destroying them. its a pretty simple project once you have a clean new fender to make a mold from.

then when yours brake you have a mold to make a new fender with.

Are you looking for factory flares or aftermarket fiberglass fenders? if your looking for factory flares your in the wrong thread, but people sell them all the time it seems. I just threw all mine away over the weekend since no body wanted them. You can buy them from toyota as well and i would guess some aftermarket people make them like bushwhacker or similar.

But if you looking for 3rd gen fiberglass fenders i believe McNeil Racing makes them now and glassworks are the two i know of, i have fiberwerx tacoma fenders on my runner.

What color Sport Hood are you looking for? Yesterday I found a green one (already sold) and a another silver one in Houston. Austin and College Station are only an hour and a half apart, so that would be a 45 drive for each of us.
