Finally made that 15 Post Quota!

Hey guys I'm from Artesia California, First time Toyota owner! Purchased my 2018 4TR Off-Road Premium in silver! (pictures as soon as i get off work).

Would love to make it to one of those SoCal Meet/Greet events.

BUT i do have a couple questions! I"m currently running everything stock, but the first mod I was thinking of running was a Toytec Bilstein Lift Kit. But from browsing thru the forum i saw that some people recommend new tires first.

What do you guys think of the Toytec Bilstein Boss Kit?
-Should i get lift kit or Wheel set first?
-If Lift kit what lift kit?
-If Wheel set what wheel set? Size wheels/size tires?

Thanks for all the help!

Welcome! I’ve organized a few runs in our SoCal group.
What I always tell people( though few listen) is
1)Tires - what size depends on vehicle, you can start searching and reading to find the biggest size you can fit without lifting
2)Sliders/armor- to protect your investment a bit
3)recovery gear and the knowledge to use it

Then drive it ...A LOT. Until you really find your limit and the vehicles limit. Then keep driving it. This may take a while but in the end you’ll be a much better and controlled driver off road.

Then you can start thinking about lift, even bigger tires, and lockers( think your model already has a locking rear)

Welcome to the forum and congrats! I'm going today to pick up a new TRDORP in the same color! Let the modding begin!

This here will be my 15th post! i will finally be able to post threads and sell necessary items that i may want to upgrade from...

Congrats Bro! I just purchased my first 4Runner so I'm with you on the learning, but super excited to start modding and making it mine own.
