Finally pulled the trigger.....rear swing out done

After much consideration and thought; I finally decided to commission a rear swing out plated bumper that would tie into the ODL front bumper.

Over the years, we have all seen great bumper designs offered by the many vendors looking to catch our business. I was especially drawn towards custom builds with personal touches and paid close attention to that vendors products.

I too, like to pay special attention to detail. Having said that, I am very pleased with CBI for delivering my vision.

The tire mount stanchion along with the side gusset loops are constructed from round bar. Desatco latch and Rigid Industries Marine D series LEDs. Tire size is 285x75x16. Cardinal powder coat, texture/color- hammer-tone white.

Thanks Mcaz5,

I tend to ponder over things I'm adding to a build. I kept changing my mind on the utility and function aspect of the bumper. In the end; the simplicity and flow of the design is what directed the build.

Great looking bumper. I'm debating color match vs. satin black for my Millennium Silver 3rd Gen.

Looks like you could use a back-up camera.

Checkout Shinyblackdeers build their CBI bumper has a great looking color combo, color matched lower and black swing out. Yep....currently sourcing rear camera. Thanks for the compliment

We need some shots of that in the daylight!

What's up Hepar,

We just finished with the install, as my son was rolling out I snapped the photo. I'll have him take some daytime photos soon.

Take care ....8sm

Nice 4runner 8sm.. That's a very good looking, nicely made and functional bumper too. I like the color too. Most people would have painted it black, it's perfect with your build.

Looks great! When you post pictures, I'm especially interested in the Desatco latch. I use one to pull down and use a spring loaded plunger to keep the swing out "in". In combination with the stops it works great, but I'm curious how yours works.

Will be waiting with bells on...

What's up Dee3 ...... I started out in one direction with the front ODL bumper in hammer-tone grey. Shortly after, I had it sand blasted and powdercoated hammer-tone white and stayed with it throughout the build. I get a lot of compliments, most can't believe it's a 90s 4runner.

Thanks for the response...... 8sm
