I've moved mine to the little space between the second seat back and the double-decker storage shelf. It has some "fingers" that grab the carpet in there and it doesn't slide around. If I ever need it, just open the seat back, grab, and go.

I would'nt mind getting one , but just for the people and like in the pic the forest land. I could really give 2 rip's about saving the Runner. That what I have insurance for . I can alway easily replace the truck , but people and forest land are a different story.

Why would you need that? This was in the Ocala National Forest a few weeks ago. I would bet 8 miles for the closest paved road? Not much more you could do than stand back and watch.


I worry about the heat down here in FL. I had some pepper spray blow up in my old rig because the heat. I opened the door and got a face full. then to top it off after I wiped down the inside I used the same rag to wipe off the sweat - typical!

having an extinguisher could have snuffed out that fire when it first started. to say "why would you need that" is crazy. to each his own....some just like to be prepared

i have 1 in the rear cargo
and 1 small 1 in between the front windshield and the passenger window
theres a spot there where a handle goes for the passenger to hold on to
i put the fire extinguisher under it
considaring hwo its on a slant and everything looks very sporty haha

Right now mine is strapped to the roll bar in the cargo area. It's fairly compact, but I still can't find a better place within reach of the driver's seat in my 89. Any suggestions?
