I've considered that but with graduation coming up I'll have to sort out how to move it to San Antonio. Then there's that job thing that'll take up a lot of my time. I'm not sure what I'll do yet when I last looked there wasn't a bunch of parts to make power on these motors. While I'll admit part of me wants to build a 400 or so HP motor I'm not sure it's feasible. For now I'm scouring the interwebs for a 4.7L TRD S/C and considering a under-the-hood turbo setup. I need boost!

If you do go that path, talk to LCE. IF you're going s/c or t/c, I'd suggest s/c especially after your... "Experience" with water. If you're hitting water, you can brake and bring the S/C down in rpm a lot quicker than a turbo, as the belt will slow the super charger down as the engine does. The turbo will keep spinning on its own past the let off of power (even if it's minimal, it's still there.). Plus, it's a lot cheaper, and some sweet twin screws give you near instant, low-RPM power and torque. At least, a lot better than turbo can. Basically, if you want to run super high boost, turbo it, but if you want a practical increase in power, S/C.

Yeah a twin screw S/C is what I'm looking for. Availability is the issue. One will come up sometime hopefully.

Were you on that thread with me, IIRC someone was asking about making a V8 S/C fit the V6? His buddy was selling one. If you were there, probably means nothing to you now, but if not, take a look.

On the second picture: Since the steel bumper has a gap between it and the body, Why not use material similar to the OEM mudflap to cover it? Drill some holes in the lip of the bumper, and use the OEM holes, then just use some rubber or something to cover that gap? It could be a hiding place for a bunch of crap in the bumper, and it doesn't seem... Preferable to have to pull the bumper and clean lol.

If you are talking about the area in the red circle, there is a metal plate that should have came with your bumper mine didn't come with one till i went back and asked and they shipped it to me it looks like this.

Yes! I was in that thread and after I tried to get more info I searched Phoenix CL and found the truck. The seller of the truck wants $4000 for the supercharger which I'm not game for especially since it's still installed. Haven't looked at eBay link yet but I will!

Wait wait wait...I want that! So you contacted the seller or ARB directly? I got mine from 4wheelparts and it wasn't included but if I can contact ARB and get it...I want that for sure. I was just looking today to see about moving the washer fluid bottle. Did you have to pay more?

May be worth pulling the trigger and bidding at this point. That is REALLY cheap.

Got an Optima D35 today from Advance. The other battery I had went bad from sitting, my fault as I didn't keep it on a tinder. I replaced the terminals as well since mine were busted. This battery fits with a battery top below so the negative terminal can reach. Should be visible in the picture. I just asked the guys at the store for an extra and they gave it for free.

Well i found out from another 4runner with an arb and i was puzzled when i saw it and he just said it came with his. so i when to 4wheelparts where i got mine and talked to the man and he got on the phone with arb or there corporate not sure but he found out it should have came with it and he ordered it of no charge to me and picked it up from them a couple days later came with the mounting hard ware and everything. also not sure if you cut your finder liners or took them off but if you can they tuck up on top of the plates or tie it to the skid.

Here's some more pics from the swap. For those curious on what we did to the new motor we did everything we could think of. We swapped the wing harness. I bought a new T-Belt, water pump gasket, and o-rings to complete the timing belt job. I reused the water pump and t stat since they were fresh. We RTV'd the oil pan as it was leaking. Cleaned the throttle body. Fresh plugs and the best of 16 injectors we had to choose from. Then we put some fresh Mobil 1, Toyota red coolant and 5 quarts of ATF fluid. I did a ****ty undercoating job of the engine bay while it was out too. I also fixed my front diff brace with some new bolts and a nut as pictured below. I had stripped the holes out at Wills house when I bought it from him haha. I think that's all we did.
