2003 Toyota 4Runner from 2014-current. Plan on driving this until it is no more or stupid financially to keep it. Then buying a used 5th Gen.

My first car was a 1969 Mustang fastback I bought back in 1986 when I turned 16. Still have it. It's currently apart getting rebuilt from the ground up. All new suspension, interior, wiring, A/C, power steering, power windows, and a fuel injected 408W stroker backed by a T56 6 speed. Here's a pic of me being a hooligan back in the day...

I put on almost 75,000 more miles before I hit that deer. The good news is that it was a big deer and I kept it and put the meat in the freezer.

Ooh boy did I get a lot of tickets in this (Pic is not of my former car). I think I paid $3200 in 1985. Sold in 1988 for a Nissan Pulsar.

My first car was a 1968 Ford Thunderbird Landau. It had suicide rear doors, a Thunderjet 429 big block, and sequential rear turn signals. It had 75000 miles on it.

It was definitely a land yacht. It was my neighbors grandmothers car. I bought it for $400 and when I got severely rear ended in it the insurance company gave me $3800 for it. It only had 83k miles at that point. I should have tried to buy it back for the engine, but I was still to young to care.

I sure wish I still had it in unwrecked condition. They can be made to look and drive pretty smooth.

I followed that up with a 83 Chevy K5 4x4 Blazer that I wheeled and abused so badly it had 4 cracked pistons when I sold it. Still ran and drove though.

This isn't the original car but this was my first car, same year and same color. 1973 Camaro with the sorry 350 / 255 HP ( first year of emissions ). I pulled the original engine and dropped in a freshly built 427 bog block coupled with a 400 turbo transmission with a Vega torque converter . Rear end was a 12 bolt 4.11 gears, posi traction. I wasn't rich, I'm just old. This was in 1983 and I paid $2000 for the Camaro and the 427 big block was $500...........man if I could only go back in time and buy all of these I could. Back in the early 80's you could buy a 1966 SS Chevelle for $2000, 1969 Camaro RS for $2500, and 69 SS Chvelle 396, 4 speed for $2500. I feel old saying this but those were the good ole days. My uncle bought a brand new 1970 Plymouth Superbird with a 440 6 pack, and 4 speed for around $4000. It ended up like most, in a ditch.

I also had a bug, 66, that was my first car. Paid $75 for it w a blown motor. Dad n I swapped a 73 super beetle motor in in n swapped it from 6V to 12V. 4 snow tires n some air shocks n I took that thing almost everywhere my buddies CJ went. Ice scraper to clear the inside of windshield in the winter n a blanket we would trow over ourselves to stay warm. Wasn't much to look at but it was my freedom! Wish I had a pic.

a 1984 Ford Fairmont ext police car, repainted school house wall beige...


my father bought it for me for about $400 bux. i felt like a Blues step-Brother.

it was a complete POS...i literally had to work on it during the week so that i could drive it on the weekends.

my memorable LAST ride in it, i had a date, a buddy and his date in the back, at a stop light after going to see a movie. next to us at the red light was the most cliqued little old lady in her own station wagon, wood down the side, blah blah blah. the light turns red, everybody starts cheering, and of course, my car cant keep up with Grandma and her 10 year old kid hauler...:redbrick:

No pics, but it was a 1995 2wd Taco Xtracab. Absolutely hated it but I couldn't complain because my parents bought it for me. I think I drove it for 3 months.

Below are pictures of my first - a 1965 Oldsmobile Cutlass that I got from my uncle in 1971. 330 4V "Ultra High Compression" V-8. Rated at 300 HP (gross). Was pristine when I got it, but it had a hard life after that. Probably not the greatest car for a 16 year old, but I had a lot of fun with it (and survived). :zoom:

Chrome-reverse wheels and "wide-oval" tires were all the rage back then. Easy to smoke those bias ply tires.

My second (and first new) car is pictured below that. A 1976 Honda Civic. Mine was the silver one. Quite a change from the Cutlass. Fun in its own way, though.

When I moved here, the first car i bought was a black 2007 BMW 325i Coupe.
