First car ever!

Below are pictures of my first - a 1965 Oldsmobile Cutlass that I got from my uncle in 1971. 330 4V "Ultra High Compression" V-8. Rated at 300 HP (gross). Was pristine when I got it, but it had a hard life after that. Probably not the greatest car for a 16 year old, but I had a lot of fun with it (and survived). :zoom:

Chrome-reverse wheels and "wide-oval" tires were all the rage back then. Easy to smoke those bias ply tires.

My second (and first new) car is pictured below that. A 1976 Honda Civic. Mine was the silver one. Quite a change from the Cutlass. Fun in its own way, though.

I was actually thinking of putting a 330 in my Delta 88 to give it a little more power and just to be different.

My first car was a hand me down 1984 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham. It was a couch of wheels. V8 (HT4100......... 130hp and a major pile of crap). I miss it though, though not a lot. I swore Cadillac off for the rest of life (I don't care what they had then, now or in the future........ kind of like Jeep. I will NEVER own another one).

My first car, bought with money saved up from several years worth of summer jobs, was a 1982 Toyota Celica GT purchased used from a local Honda dealer.

This liftback model had the 22R 4-cylinder engine generating 96 hp. Mated to a 5-speed manual and RWD, she was a lot of fun to drive.

My car had no air conditioning, no power locks, no power windows, no airbags, no ABS. It was very easy to work on for any maintenance or repairs. I did upgrade to the Supra wheels as seen in the photo (having found a decent set in the local auto wrecker's yard).

Been with Toyota ever since.

Cool! My parents had a 1978 Coupe de Ville. Here's a picture just after they bought it new. It had a 425 CID V-8 that made (maybe) 200 HP and got about 9-10 MPG. That same year, I got my first Toyota - a 1978 Celica GT. I liked those '82 Celica's when they came out.

First ride was a 1992 Oldsmobile cutlass supreme SL. Bought it of my mom for $500 and beat the living hell out of it, surprised it lasted as long as it did.

After that was my first yota, 2005 tundra:hat:

1999 Dodge Ram 1500. Handed down from my Dad with 190k miles on it. Despite being a work truck, it was absolutely pristine inside and out. I will forever and always regret selling it when the transmission blew, although I don't miss the 10mpg. Also the one in the picture is my actual one.
