:wtf:looking for a SR-5 with 3rd row seating . Can't buy them in Canada , but I found a place that claims they can get new ones brought from the US in with transferable warrenty .My question is what are the
major differences between the Can/US modles ? I know Can has the upgrade package and the US has something similar without some things like back up camera etc.. I,ve even had dealers tell me the US units use a different type of metal in ther bodies and rims and won't hold up to the Canadian winters and rust out faster .LOL Maybe I'ts true , Anyways I can get a Can upgrade package with leather ,no 3rd row SR5 for $ 43K and a US with 3rd row and leather for $ 45K . Help me pick.

Why don't you just come to the US, buy one and drive it across the border eh? With the current exchange rate at $1USD to $1.07CAD, you can get a $35,000USD SR5 4x4 with 3rd row seats (sticker price) for the equivalent of $37,338CAD, which will save you a couple thousand dollars.:wow:

Then with that 6-8K that you save, you can pay for the RIV inspection, levy tax (which you would pay anyways), change the dash to KM, upgrade to "canadian" wheels, get the block heater, icelandic tires and a lift with plenty of more to spare!:welcome:

Well, this may seem minor, but the Canadiens seem to get the better accessories. For instance, the Canadian version gets the running boards whereas here in the US we have to get aftermarket ones installed. There's been some other griping on this forum about some accessories (bug guards?, etc.) that are only available in Canada.

One cannot buy a new vehicle in the US and bring it to Canada , it has to be pre-regerstered in the US and a certain age I beleive . Hard to find the exact used unit I am looking for. I don't believe the Can SR 5 come stock with running boards just the off road edition. So your saying the rims are different betwee the US and Canada?

Can't help you with your problem, but the dealer that told me that would never see me again. That is certainly in the top 5 stoopidist things I've ever heard.

I am sure some business in Canada will bring in new cars. I had a friend last year (through a broker in Richmond BC) bring in a new Lexus 350 ... saved thousands even with the broker fee and the taxes.

As with 2010 Can SR5, they do come with the running boards (mine came w/ it). It's the same one as the TE. Though not as nice as the 3rd gen boards.
