First upgrades - Stage 1 2015 TRD Pro

increase the compression and use direct injection capable of multiple events per injection, and increase the oil reservoir to cool that hot block off
Ok, I misread your post. I thought you meant I could add 70hp reliably and economically, but you meant they (TOMOCO engineers) could do it. That, I partially agree with.

I also agree with 1engineer's reasons on why they didn't do it: fuel economy and long-term reliability.

And "economically" is subjective. The minor changes to the engine to just get the extra power wouldn't horribly expensive; put it in the "TRDPro" version for bragging rights and charge a few extra grand for it. But having to upgrade all the components in the engine along with the entire drivetrain to handle a 26% increase in power over a 400k mile lifespan would cost much more.

perhaps on a first person basis, on a mass produced production line basis? i imagine that the added technology and increased durability components wouldn't cause more than 10% increase in manufacturing cost
