Fishing rod holder mount?

Want to make a mount to hold my rods on the roof (interior) of my 4runner. I normally just set them in the back but if I put them up there I have no chance of hooks getting stuck in the seats, looks cleaner and provide more trunk space. Also trying to mount my bowfishing set up to the left side of my trunk. Any ideas? Trying to avoid drilling my first thought was taking industrial Velcro and slapping it up there and attach a black plastic wall mounted pole holder. Has anyone done this or something similar? Thanks

Not sure how the 3rd gens are set up, but I'm working on a multi rod holder out of PVC and aluminum sheet. Plan is to have it bolt in at the coat hooks in the cargo space and second row grab handles. Rear PVC is being cut with a notch for the reel to sit in, then I'll tie in some shock cord to keep them all from sliding around.

I usually keep 4-8 rods in the car during the "nice" seasons varying from fresh water to surf to pier.

That's a decent idea I'll have to crunch some numbers and check that out. I also keep about 3-4 rods in the car, speargun and some bowfishing equipment during summer lol

You could get the modular rear window storage panels from Rago Fabrication or OrangeBoxx Fab and mount the spear gun and bow on those. Since I assume they're a little heavier and bigger than regular old rod and reel.

I googled "fishing rod holders for trucks" and it was one that came up.
It's a Boat Buckle Rod Bunk. Looks pretty cool but might swing around a bit compared to a rigid mounted type, but it's cheap and easy to remove and store it.
