FJ coils and springs worth it

Found for sale here localy.

"I have a set of stock springs and shocks that came out of my 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser with 35k miles on them. Rode real nice when removed to install lift kit. Fronts are already assembled. Will fit '07-09 FJ's, and are also a nice upgrade to 4th generation '03-'09 4Runners $100."

I can get these even less but is it worth it.

I feel that it is worth it. Using the factory XREAS shocks, I spent $170 total on mine ($100 for the FJ coils and $70 for a Toytec front spacer kit to level the stance) and think that the ride was significantly improved... firmer yet not harsh and seems to support the vehicle better. Could the suspension be better? Absolutely, but you can't beat the bang for the buck. I've been running my set-up for just about a year now and have been very happy with it.
 
I am sorry I just noticed that also what a D.A.
I found them for sale localy here and was wondering if it was worth it.

VERY much worth it, and a direct bolt-on. You will love it. I switched mine and the ride is so much nicer. It is firmer in a VERY good way...none of that wallowing soft-feeling stock suspension anymore. It sits a bit higher since the springs can handle a bit more weight. I'd guess it sits almost one inch higher than stock. The ride is absolutely well-controlled and balanced. Do it...just figure out the diff between the front driver's side and passenger's side springs. Don't ask me...I forget. :)
 
Oh, I am not sure how the suspension could be better. It could be raised for more capability off-road, but better in feel...not sure. I'd like to know from others who have used this as their intermediary step.

The FJ coils will lift the truck a bit for sure. While you are at it replace the sway bar end links and sway bar bushings with poly replacements. The handling will improve significantly after both mods.

I did not add spacers to the front and the stance looks just fine. I have very slight rubbing on the driver's side fender liner when at full right hand lock with my winter tires.

The stock T4R suspension, with or without XREAS, sucks butt. My 2003 Tahoe out handled it before the modifications.
 
hmmm thats pretty good to know that the fj suspension helps the runner. guess its' something to try. thanks for the post up
