FJ Springs..couple questions

For starters I've done several searches on these, but am unsure of a couple things.

I have a CF 2/1 and was thinking of adding FJ Springs for a little extra lift. Here are my questions:

1. Will the extra .75" i belive make my 32" tires look to small?

2. Do the springs ride any differently, or relatively the same smoothness?

3. Are the springs the only thing I would need to buy and how much can I expect to pay for an install?

From what I read, the FJ springs are a bit stiffer than stock.

I have the FJ springs and absolutely love them.

1. I don't think they will make your tires look too small at all, I am running the 3/1 with FJ springs and my 255/75/17's look great.

2. I think they do not ride much differently, if anything I like the ride more now than before.

3. I got the front and rear springs for free and only payed for the front install ($160ish) and alignment ($60ish). Do the rear install yourself, it is really easy. Most of your time will be spent getting your tools out and the tires off.

Also, I got the 4x4 springs, I am not sure if the 4x2 springs are any different.

Thanks for all the info! Should i replace shocks too or just springs?

Where else would you look for FJ springs? I've checked ebay, craigslist, and FJ forums

I just posted a WTB on the FJ cruiser forums and also skimmed the listings of guys selling stock parts.

Try to find a local guy so you do not have to worry about shipping and I would personally not pay more then $50, mine were given to me for free .

I would think it would be wise to get the 4wd springs. I just got a set , brand new all front springs / struts and rears . not even a scratch on them . Also picked up a full set of 5 FJ rims. too.

Unfortunately my truck is 2wd, so would you try to find 2wd ones? Hahah sounds like you loaded up! you get everything from the FJ forums?

Thetaxguy has the 4wd springs in his 2wd. Search his username and you'll find posts, pics etc.

Awesome thanks! :bigok: I found full set of springs for $50 locally i'll probably pick up this week if the install price is decent.
