Since the question has been asked so often... yes you can take the TRD rims offroad and make them look like a pig without issue!

with some of the rain we had today there is a nice new fresh coat of dust on the inside (before the rain) and a nice new coat of mud on the outside

Here is my run today on Imogene and Ophir passes. On Imogene I was mainly stuck behind the Tundra that came with the Dallas convoy, but on Ophir I was right behind the trail leader.

Must be my lucky Summit because one of the Baja Rack reps came by today (not Sergio or John) and took some pictures of those of us who had Baja's on our trucks. He mentioned that I must ratchet strap a lot of stuff to the center of the rack because it's bent. I told him I never ratchet strap anything to the center of the truck and it came that way and I thought it was supposed to have a slight bend. Long story short, I'm getting a new Baja Rack free of charge. For those interested, Gobi isn't here.

Okki, other than wheel you are pretty much running a stock Limited - right? How is it doing?

Yup.. no lift or aftermarket skids here. I do have Shrokworks sliders. It was a bit of a challenge on California and I did scrape the front bumper and had a couple good hits, but I have not had a chance to look under it (the roads here in town are mainly gravel).

The truck is pulling through amazingly, but personally I would recommend a lift at the very least.

Tomorrow I'm just hanging out in town and taking in the sights of the town. The only trail remaining was Black Bear and I dont feel comfortable doing that trail as yet. (if it continues to rain that trail should not be run anyway).

Sorry, thought I put some detail in a previous post, but I guess I didn't! Bottom line is that the shock was defective when it came from Icon (or so they think). The shock mount is assembled at Icon and comes to the customer with the lower bushing attached to the shock body. Apparently, when Icon assembled mine they might have left a hairline gap in the threading (i.e. the threads were not 100% seated, and were probably 99.9% seated). So, after a few thousand miles and pushing the suspension this past week they eventually stripped and worked loose. I'm apparently pretty famous because everyone seems to know me around here without actually knowing me ("Oh, YOU'RE the guy that lost his shock!").

+1 more for Icon: I mentioned I was going to Moab after this, and they told me to pick-up their display shock (not charged with gas) tonight so that I would have something to keep the suspension from over-articulating and possibly losing the spring if it happens again. Really really really great customer service from these guys.

Just a few nights in the pen...no big deal. The batteries died in the InTouch and I just swapped new ones in this AM. Currently sitting at the nice, accommodating dealer in Montrose, CO (30 mins from Ouray) because the misfire recurred 2 mins from them. They've got 2 master techs here so hopefully they find the culprit!

So what was the misfire problem?

Not speaking for Joneseyyy, but when I asked, he mentioned they still don't know for sure, but they replaced spark plugs and I believe the coil.

The problem isn't definitively diagnosed. Cylinder 2 is always where the misfire happens. So far the dealer has swapped coil and plug positions. I'll be taking it back in when I get home. I did talk to some Toyota engineers here and they said the next potential culprits are a bad injector or debris in the fuel rail.
