FJ suspension swap and Daystar lift question

Hey all,

I'm about to swap out my XREAS for an entire FJ's suspension (rear/front coils, rear/front shocks, struts). I also have a Daystar 2.5"/1.5" spacer lift kit (check my sig for part #) and was wondering if I could install this on the new FJ suspension. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If I'm not mistaken it will fit. I just installed a spacer lift from an FJ on my 4runner and I think most of the parts are interchangeable. I would call daystar to double-check though.

That is the exact upgrade path I took. I bought the Daystar front and rear kit and picked up a set of FJ shocks and coils (off road package Bilstiens), and did a mass swap. It improved the handling, raised it just the right amount, and in my opinion gave it a better ride. One of these days I'll post up some pics.

There’s many pics in the following threads. The first link is pretty good and gives you an idea of what the various lift/tire combos look like. There’s at least one FJC spring w/ Daystar 2.5/1.5 in there; look at Gaberelli's too…

I don't think anybody has tried. I think the O.D./I.D. of the springs is different so my guess would be no.

I did the Daystar lift with FJ springs, no new shocks though, but mine looks the same since the FJ shocks don't provide lift. Look at my pics at the end of the thread to see how it turned out

Did you guys buy the daystar spacers specific to the 4runner or for an FJ since the suspension was swapped to an FJ setup? I'm about to do this myself

From my understanding, it’s the same Daystar kit, sometimes with different part numbers and more expensive when branded for the 4Runner. Not sure why that is. Hopefully somebody can back me up on this or correct me.

When in doubt, call the manufacturer and ask.
