Flame suit on. Feedback wanted...Bronco/Ford.

I work in Ford's Benchmark Center, and I can tell you up front that the Bronco is not meant to face off directly with the Wrangler. There isn't a new vehicle that could come out that would take enough of the market away from it to be successful, there's too much of a following and the aftermarket is massive. It should be more like the Raptor is designed; a baja/desert runner but a SUV. Ford put the Raptor in a niche market and would be smart to do the same with the Bronco. There really isn't another SUV that's body on frame that fits this category.

I can't say much else about the Bronco for job security lol

Now that being said, as far as Ford reliability/quality goes if you're not buying one of the trucks you might as well flip the coin on reliability/quality. There's a reason I bought a Toyota product and not a Ford...

I’m interested in this as well. Although I am keeping my 4Runner. Might have to add the bronco depending on the final product. It would be great next to my daily summer vehicle

Own a G1 Raptor and a 5G 4R. Have to say the Gen 1 Raptor quality has been good especially as much as people abuse them down in Baja. Gen 2 Motors have been really hit and miss.

IMO for the mass market a Bronco that simply does well on light rocks ans graded road should have much success. The slim minority ever pushes their equipment to the limits. Wranglers included (had a JK and beat the snot out of that thing in all conditions...but great daily driver it wasn't).

Wrangler can do what most vehicles cannot but again, most people buy it for looks and because the top comes off. My prediction is Bronco's overall road manners (from IFS), looks and removable doors/top will make it a success.

The Bronco is definitely IFS. But Ford has stated to Road & Track an RTI score of 700 for the 2-Door Badlands Edition with the sway bars disconnected. The 4-Door is expected to be around 620. This compares to a Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited's unofficial, but measured by automotive publications, score of 688-693.

recent Ford quality is garbage. Highly suggest waiting until it's out for a year or two.
