Hi guys! I wanted to say thanks for helping me decide to buy a 5th gen 4runner! I lurked on the site for a couple weeks and gained a lot of valuable information, you are running an A+ forum. Tons of good info and great people contributing.

I just picked up a 2010 SR5, and LOVE IT, its got everything except leather and nav and only has 34k miles- its really like brand new. I bought through a lexus dealer and was able to add on an extended warranty (I was even able to negotiate the warranty based on info I found here!).

This is my 35th car (no exaggeration), 25 of those were VWs, mostly MK2/MK3 (85-99) cars, I also had a couple Chevy and Ford trucks, a 2009 Xterra, and I traded in a 2010 Jetta Tdi on the 4runner. Here's a pic from when I picked it up Monday... You can see the sad Jetta in the background....

Well, I kind of grew up in the dealership business- so I had plenty of opportunity to buy trade-ins cheap, fix them, and sell them. Paid for most of my schooling that way, and did a few fun motor swaps along the way.

I have a feeling the 4runner will be around a while. The fiancee likes it a lot... emphasis on fiancee. I think there will be a lot less car games from here on out! No worries though, I'll satisfy the need by changing the 4runner up when I need to.

Tony, nice truck and welcome! If you're free on Sunday 10/20/13, there is an all Japanese car show at the Larz Anderson Auto Museum in Brookline from 10-2. There are a few of us that registered($15 online $20 at the event). I was trying to get a crew together from the forum to enter. You should get in on it. There's a link I posted in the General section and it had been mentioned in the NE BS thread as well.
