Fog light options

I'm thinking about buying a 4x plate bumper,I don't really like the the square light option he offers,whats the options for replacing my stock fogs with like a round piaa type light in the bumper.Its a 2000 limited.
Can I just cut the factory wireing at the light and wire the new lights and run just like stock or do I need to add relays etc?

Pretty sure the stock lamps are 55W, so if you stay in that range you'll be fine to extend the wiring. Personally I would use a relay. Here is one link, but if you search you'll find lots of info!

Normally with any aftermarket hi power(LED- HID) it would be wise to use the harness and relays that came with the kit.

I don't know what would happen if you went with "out with the old and in with the new"

i'll stand by and see what others say.. I can only speak of my own experience.

It all depends on what type of set up you go with. Unless I was going to run some off the shelf h3/h1 type 35W fog lights/LED bulbs, I'd run a relay and harness. I've got 2 light bars and 2 other driving lights apart from my headlights. All of the on harnesses, and their own separate switches. Risk of burning something up with an aftermarket set up is always an issue. Better safe then sorry.
